In this lecture, Sef Salem will discuss the foundational principles of Thelema from a practical perspective. While the history of the subject will be covered, the focus will be on how the philosophy of Thelema applies to daily life for the practitioner, and your first rituals to undertake!
Thelema requires a reworking of magical perspective, to focus on that which is within to that which is without. While Thelema has its own pantheon of recontextualised and syncretised deities representing forces of the Universe and Incarnation, these are easily understood by reflection and embodiment practices.
With his trademark humour and decades of practice, Sef will take you through the philosophy and cosmology of Thelema before demonstrating some of the key rituals to get started as an aspirant and practitioner using easily-accessible resources.
From August, Sef will be teaching an in-depth 4-week course to deepen your understanding of Thelema and boost your first steps into doing your Will.
